1:1 nutrition consultation
At your initial 1:1 consultation, your Accredited Practising Dietitian will guide you through a detailed nutritional assessment. We’ll look at physical, medical, dietary, social and lifestyle factors to develop a complete picture of your health. You can choose to have your consultation in person, online or over the phone – whatever works for you.
Your dietitian will get to know more about your nutritional goals, whether that’s sustainable weight management, suitable nutrition during pregnancy, or alleviating certain chronic health conditions. We’ll then develop your personalised nutrition care plan and meal plans, focusing on goal setting and appropriate strategies to set you up for success.
We can even support you by putting together complete 7-day meal plans, shopping lists and exercise plans to make it as easy as possible to incorporate our dietetic advice into your lifestyle.

Food diary analysis
Great nutrition doesn’t mean sticking to a set calorie intake, skipping snacks and avoiding certain foods. It looks different for everyone but centres around creating balance while making sure your body is getting enough of the things it needs.
Our food diary analysis service highlights any key areas where you may not be getting the best out of your daily diet. This includes making sure you’re meeting your daily recommended nutrient intake, eating the right amount of calories for your metabolism, and lots of other factors.
We’ll guide you on how to fill out a simple three-day food diary to give our Accredited Practising Dietitians some insight into what you normally eat. Your dietitian will then analyse your food diary and provide you with a detailed report on your nutrition. If you’d like, they can also provide a complimentary call to explain the report so you know exactly what it means.

Personalised meal plans
While we do encourage you to book a 1:1 consultation with our dietitian to get the most out of your personalised meal plan, we understand that life can be really busy and other things get in the way.
To support those with busier lifestyles, we offer a personalised meal plan service that allows you to complete a health questionnaire online. This is a quick and easy way to give our Accredited Practising Dietitians the necessary information about your current health, diet and nutrition goals.
After you’ve filled out the questionnaire, you just need to sit back and relax while our dietitians analyse your information and draw up a fully tailored meal plan. We’ll send your meal plans via email within three business days so you’re ready to get started on your journey to better health and wellbeing.

Body composition scans & analysis
Using a basic set of scales to measure your weight can give you some insight into your health, but it doesn’t offer a true picture of what’s actually going on inside your body.
As well as your age, height and gender, there are a wide variety of factors that contribute to providing a clearer picture of your overall health and changes to your body composition, such as maximising muscle mass and decreasing fat mass. A comprehensive scan of your body composition is the best method to track positive changes and measure the effectiveness of your nutrition and exercise strategies.
Using the InBody 770, a medical-grade body composition analyser, our Accredited Practising Dietitians will complete a full-body scan, providing information about your unique body composition that a basic set of scales simply can’t offer. They’ll then analyse this information and, as part of a 15-minute consultation included in this service, offer tailored advice about your body’s nutritional needs and how you can support them to meet your goals.

MedicareDietitian Lab is a registered provider with Medicare. Medicare provides rebates for clients who have been referred to a dietitian by their doctor on a Chronic Disease Management Plan (or Enhanced Primary Care Plan). Dietitian Lab does not bulk bill consultations.

Private Health FundDietitian Lab is a registered provider with Australian private health funds. Most private health funds provide rebates for consultations with dietitians. The rebate will depend on your level of cover. Please contact your private healthcare provider for more information. No referral is required if claiming under private health cover.

Department of Veterans AffairsDietitian Lab is a registered provider with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). DVA Gold Card Holders are entitled to consultations with dietitians at no cost. If you are an eligible DVA Gold Card Holder, a DVA referral form (D904) from your doctor is required at consultation.
